God has given us a wonderful world to live on.  We are His stewards of it until His return.  If He came today, would He say, "Well done, good and faithful servant"?

 

Or might He say, "What have you done to my water and my land? Why is the air I provided for my children filthy?" 

 

Doing nothing is an action, but is it a Christian action? Is it a moral action? Is it the right action?

In October, 2000, researchers addressing 1500 delegates at the International Coral Reefs Symposium reported that more than a quarter of the world's coral reefs have already been destroyed by pollution and global warming.  They warned that most of the remaining reefs could be dead in 20 years.  Thousands of species of fish and other marine life depend on coral reefs.

Habitat and species preservation

Coral reefs provide chemical compounds used in antihistamines, antibiotics and other treatments for illnesses ranging from asthma to leukemia and heart disease. But coral reefs are declining due to actions by ourselves.  Is this an example of being good stewards?

 

Do you enjoy fishing?  If so, you need to know that brook trout are one of several species of fish that are highly vulnerable to power plant pollution.
